Tech-driven security

At Fleetclear, we take security seriously, implementing robust measures to protect our company files, emails and customer data. These protections and security changes include the following:
Email Security DNS Records
SPF, DKIM and DMARC policies have been setup to ensure emails from “Fleetclear.com” are only sent from servers we authorise, the emails are digitally signed to ensure they are not modified in transit, and we reject any emails that fail these protection measures.
Anti-Phishing Measures
We have made significant progress in blocking most of these getting through, we still have the occasional email slipping through but we’re aware of this and continuously reviewing our defences to refine this further. A new email filter system is being discussed to stop these ever getting to your mailboxes, updates on this will be sent out soon.
IP Filtering For Access
Areas with customer data have been locked down to only allow access from our office IP address, this is to lockdown access to these servers so users must be connected via VPN to our network in the office before they can see or access sensitive data.
Remote Monitoring and Management
All devices in the company have had a new RMM agent installed, this is to monitor your device for updates and ensure they are applied/installed within 14 days of release. This is to keep us compliant with Cyber Essentials and make sure all devices are secured, if you fail to apply these updates within 14 days you may notice your access has been removed, this is only temporary until the update is applied, I will be in contact before this time though.
Cybersecurity Awareness Training
As well as a fire drill, we will be arranging for all members of staff to receive training on common cybersecurity vulnerabilities, this will include what to look for in a suspicious email and how best to protect yourself whether its at work or at home. Password best practice and incident reporting will also be covered, regular training will be arranged to make sure everyone stays up to date as new and existing threats evolve.
Going Fully Cloud
The on-premise servers will be decommissioned soon, this is because all company resources are moving to the cloud. We are doing this to bring additional functionality, reliability and scalability to the systems we use everyday. Because of this, some of you with domain logins on your devices will need to be converted to local users before the full move to the cloud, I will be in touch with affected staff directly and will work around your schedules to get this done. This work has already begun and will be going on for the next couple of weeks, please make sure you test your access once this has been done so we can address any issues immediately.
