OnTrack 2026: Fleet Technology in Action at Dunsfold Aerodrome

Fleetclear recently welcomed customers, partners and fleet professionals to OnTrack 2026 at Dunsfold Aerodrome, home of the former Top Gear test track.

The event brought together representatives from local authorities, waste, logistics and haulage for a relaxed day of innovation, conversation and excitement on and off the track. Guests were welcomed by the Fleetclear team before enjoying breakfast and catching up with others from across the industry.

Attendees were free to explore the event at their own pace, speak with the Fleetclear team and partners, watch live technology demonstrations and take part in a range of track experiences throughout the day.

Innovation Spotlight

Live demonstrations gave attendees the opportunity to see several Fleetclear safety solutions in action.

These included the Vehicle Lift Information System (VLIS), which is designed to monitor the danger zone around a vehicle’s lifting equipment and help protect operatives during bin-lifting operations.

Guests were also shown a heat-detection solution for the rear of refuse collection vehicles. By monitoring temperature and providing an early warning when heat begins to rise, the system can help operators identify a potential fire risk sooner and respond before it develops further.

Some demonstrations took place live on vehicles, while others could be explored in the main marquee. This gave visitors the freedom to ask questions, discuss their own operational challenges and see how different solutions could benefit their fleets.

Fleetclear was joined by industry partners including Hillend Engineering, Endurance Vehicle Solutions, Bartec, Dennis Eagle and VWS. Their stands in the marquee provided further opportunities for guests to connect with specialists from across the sector.

Introducing StreetVision

The main launch of the day was StreetVision, Fleetclear’s new AI-powered visual intelligence platform.

Presented by Fleetclear’s CTO Chris Waller, StreetVision demonstrated how organisations can make greater use of the footage already being captured by their vehicle cameras during everyday journeys.

The platform uses artificial intelligence to analyse large volumes of imagery and convert what vehicles see into actionable information. This can give organisations greater visibility of the streets, communities and working environments their vehicles travel through, supporting more informed safety, operational and environmental decisions.

Two specially wrapped refuse collection vehicles featuring the new StreetVision branding formed a focal point for the launch and helped bring the technology to life. The demonstration was very well received, generating valuable conversations about how AI and visual intelligence could support attendees’ own operations.

OnTrack Competitions

The Fleetclear Go competition added a competitive element to the day. Attendees were timed as they completed a full vehicle walkaround inspection using the Fleetclear Go app, with a prize awarded for the quickest correctly completed check.

The challenge showed how digital vehicle checks can make the inspection process simple, consistent and efficient while giving guests an opportunity to experience the application for themselves.

A second competition encouraged attendees to make the most of everything available at OnTrack. Guests received an Event Passport which could be stamped by visiting the partner stands, watching the product demonstrations and completing the Fleetclear Go challenge. Once every section had been completed, they could enter a prize draw.

On the Track

Between demonstrations and discussions, attendees took to the former Top Gear test track in a selection of supercars.

Each driving experience began with a demonstration lap led by a professional instructor, who introduced guests to the track and talked them through what to expect. Attendees could then choose from several supercars before getting behind the wheel for their own driving sessions.

Once their drives were complete, guests could join an Everyman driver for a high-speed lap as a passenger. The wet track added to the excitement as the professional drivers demonstrated the cars’ performance through fast laps and controlled slides around the circuit.

Lunch and desserts were served before conversations, demonstrations and driving continued into the afternoon.

Industry Networking

Throughout the day, customers and partners and members of the Fleetclear team had time to connect, exchange ideas and discuss the challenges facing modern fleet operations.

The relaxed format allowed visitors to focus on the areas most relevant to them. They could see technology working live, ask detailed questions and speak directly with the Fleetclear team about other products that could support their vehicles, drivers and wider operations.

Looking Ahead

OnTrack 2026 brought together live innovation, industry collaboration and a memorable track experience. The day gave guests the opportunity to see Fleetclear technology in action, discover the newly launched StreetVision platform and have valuable conversations in an informal setting.
